Relato de Phil Walsh, o irlandês, sobre o show do Culto ao Rim no Milo Garage em 2/8! Disponível em
http://www.philwalsh.net/blog/15"Culto ao Rim is a four-piece instrumental experimental jazz formation from São Paulo cosisting of saxophone, guitar, bass and drums.I went to see them at Milo Garage and I was blown away by them. As a live band they do the job very well, bringing over their energy to the crowd. A lot of this has to be contributed to their experimental jazz style, always maintaining a steady “dancable” back beat so the whole place doesn’t descend into a boring, slow jazz occasion. While their style is very much rooted in the jazz genre, it’s not hard to spot the infuences from other genres such as funk, rock and even a tiny bit of reggae.Even playing cover versions of famous jazz tunes they never lose hold of their own unique style which adds a fresh flavour to existing songs. This just shows how versatile this band is.Their debut album is a six track live album recorded at Clube Berlin in São Paulo. While the album is great I highly recommend seeing these guys live because this is were they really shine."
